Oceanographic Buoys each fitted with RD Instrument Acoustic Doppler Current Profilers and Aanderaa Instrument Siltmeter for monitoring current direction and velocity and suspended sediment in real time.  Power was provided by Solar Module.  Data was transmitted by mobile telephone data link to computers at MPA’s office.  Maintenance of all the systems/oceanographic buoys is still in progress in 2010.

Chevron Prai Terminal, Butterworth, Malaysia Design, Supply and Install real time transmission of one Acoustic Doppler Current Profiler for assisting the berthing of tankers.  ADCP was connected to the jetty by a 700m armored cable.  Data from the jetty was transmitted via VHF to tankers approaching the Prai Terminal during berthing.  Periodic maintenance is still in progress in 2010.
