Surveyor

Job Purpose

Surveyors perform necessary measurements in order to determine the position, shape and elevation of the Land or Water Depths at Sea. Surveyors may spend a lot of their working time outside, taking measurement or in the office creating map, charts, reports and the like.

Main Responsibilities

  • Performing field surveys
  • Draft survey notes and create detailed drawings
  • Lead and coordinate on-field surveys
  • Take measurements
  • Lead assistants in performing daily activities
  • Collect and test water and soil samples
  • Clean and prepare the land before taking measurements
  • Ensure compliance with survey activities standards and regulations
  • Transport, handle and maintain survey equipment and utensils
  • Ensure compliance with safety environmental policies
  • Participate in planning, organizing and scheduling survey activities
