Surveyor
Job Purpose
Surveyors perform necessary measurements in order to determine the position, shape and elevation of the Land or Water Depths at Sea. Surveyors may spend a lot of their working time outside, taking measurement or in the office creating map, charts, reports and the like.
Main Responsibilities
- Performing field surveys
- Draft survey notes and create detailed drawings
- Lead and coordinate on-field surveys
- Take measurements
- Lead assistants in performing daily activities
- Collect and test water and soil samples
- Clean and prepare the land before taking measurements
- Ensure compliance with survey activities standards and regulations
- Transport, handle and maintain survey equipment and utensils
- Ensure compliance with safety environmental policies
- Participate in planning, organizing and scheduling survey activities
