Field Survey Assistant
Job Purpose
Field Survey Assistants provide support to Surveyors in performing necessary measurements in order to determine the position, shape and elevation of the Land or Water Depths at Sea. Survey Assistants spend most of their working time outside, taking measurement and assisting surveyors.
Main Responsibilities
- Assist and help surveyors in performing field surveys
- Participate in drafting survey notes and creating detailed drawings
- Participate and coordinate on-field surveys
- Take measurements
- Collaborate with surveyors in performing daily activities
- Collect and test water and soil samples
- Clean and prepare the land before taking measurements
- Ensure compliance with survey activities standards and regulations
- Transport, handle and maintain survey equipment and utensils
- Ensure compliance with safety environmental policies
- Participate in planning, organizing and scheduling survey activities
